Minutes of previous meeting
It was proposed by M Timney, seconded by T Pugh and carried unanimously, subject to the insertion ‘an informal approach had been made regarding the possible purchase of the old hall’, that the minutes be accepted.
Matters arising
M Timney had tried 5 times to contact Coles. They had shown no interest in quoting for work.
Midsummer day had been very successful. Thanks were offered to all who had organised and helped with the event.
Constitution
The work for the charity commission had been completed. The draft 106 agreement had been dealt with and was with the solicitors. Thanks were offered to all who had helped with the constitution and 106 agreement.
Open Garden at the Gliddons
Everyone would be welcome to attend. Fund-raising memorabilia was available for purchase. Mary Gliddon could supply tee shirts, including child sizes.
Finance
Bids
J Forward’s bid to the Co-op had been unsuccessful. The Big Lottery applications pack had been ordered and the ‘Awards for all’ bid would also be submitted.
Ashwater Show Committee was now unable to make the loan of £2000, because two marquees had recently been purchased.
BT had at last replied and required £150, before they would quote for any work.
A discussion followed, over water charges for the new hall site. T May was concerned because he had not received any bill. It was decided not to pursue any billing for the new hall site, since no water had been used.

Website
The website needed updating and it was a chance to add more information about the history of the hall. T Pugh and P Capron were working on this. Several older members of the community might have photographs from 1929 to the present day. P Capron and T Pugh would welcome any information.
Date of next meeting: 2 August 2006
The meeting closed at 8.40 p.m.
