Ashwater Horticultural Society Minutes

Plus 13 other members.
The chairman opened the meting by welcoming everybody and outlined where the society would be going in the future as a result of the previous meeting. A Gardening Club was thought to meet the ongoing requirements of the village.
From now on the society would meet on a regular basis, say monthly, for talks or trips.
To this end it would be necessary to have a yearly membership fee to cover expenses so that the new format could be self-financing.
The Chairman presented a constitution to the meeting, which was discussed and agreed.
The Treasurer presented a financial report, which was also accepted; we have one outstanding bill to pay, which is for engraving.
A visit was agreed for the October meeting to Castle Drogo on the 30th to go round the gardens and collect seeds.
A discount for members has been arranged at the Illand Garden Centre at Coads Green just outside Launceston, the discount will be given on production of a membership card.
The rest of the meeting was taken up with a quiz.
