Ashwater Horticultural Society Minutes

The meeting was held in the Village Hall. Present were

Chairman	Bob Edwards
Secretary	Peter Capron
Treasurer	Jackie Whiteley

Plus 21 other members.

The major part of the meeting was taken up by a presentation on the “National Trust Gardens in Devon” given by Mrs. Adams, for which members contributed £1.00 per person towards the cost. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Adams for her time and presentation.

Following that the secretary announced that the next meeting would be held on 31 January 2003 when Don Cockman would give a talk on Summer Flowers from Seed.

The Secretary also made available copies of the December edition of The Devon Gardener. Copies of the Gardening Direct catalogue are available and Eric Gill said the if anyone wanted to order any plants he would coordinate that and then bring on the plug plants for later distribution.

A raffle was also held.

Thanks were expressed to Bettie Gill and Jan Capron for providing the teas and mince pies.

The date of the next meeting will be 31 January 2003 when a talk on Growing Summer Flowers from Seeds will be given by Don Cockman, it will start at 7.30pm.
