At the centre of the village is the green, which has some swings for the children to play on, and is host to many village events, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Village Inn is situated directly on the green, whilst the other amenities are within a (very) short walk.

There is a thriving local community, with many local events and societies. As well as the events organised by the various societies and fundraising committees in the village, there is also a Parish Hall Fundraising Committee whose purpose is to raise funds for the new Parish Hall.
